Pray

Heat. Cold. Intense

A work that took months to create carries a
high level of complexity in order to represent something
simple: our impact on the planet.

2 months to
create the ice and another two months to complete the artwork.

This piece is a photograph featuring a meticulously crafted rectangular ice block, created over the course of two months, suspended in the air without any visible support, set against a black background. Just below the ice block, a candle slowly melts it, creating a striking contrast between cold and heat, with the glow emanating both from the candle flame and the subtle lighting from beneath the ice.

The essence of this artwork lies in the representation of the interaction between seemingly static and transient elements. It prompts deep reflection on how something as solid and concrete as ice can be profoundly impacted by something as small and fleeting as the heat of a candle. This serves as a powerful metaphor for humanity's impact on the environment, especially in glacial regions. The title of the piece, "Pray," evokes a sense of supplication or a plea for help, a silent call to protect something so fragile and vulnerable.

This work not only invites viewers to appreciate the visual beauty of the scene but also to delve into the deeper layers of meaning, urging us to question our collective responsibility in preserving and caring for our precious natural environment.

Each artwork is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
